About Us

Chatterpants is a UK baby & childrenswear label with a passion for retro incorporating bright colours & polyester free natural fabrics. Designed for everyday wear with loads of adjustability, your child will still be wearing them and looking great month after month after month. 

Started by sisters Sally & Cherry in 2008, Chatterpants has flourished into a thriving, medium sized business dedicated to putting zing into kids wardrobes everywhere. A pastel and polyester-free zone, our designs are striking and definitely not for wallflowers or shy boys! Get out there and have the most fun you can possibly have, while the going's good, we say!   

Of course we've taken care of the important, but not-so-glamourous side of things too:

• Everything's machine washable and stays looking great wash after wash. You can also put our clothes in the dryer, but please read the care label to check the heat setting first. Yes we know hardly anyone does, but really, you should! We have to say we don't encourage machine drying though - no matter how good your dryer is, it's a lot of extra wear and tear on your clothes & dryers use so much energy. Ok so it's not so glam to have your clothes hanging around drying inside, but for the sake of your clothes, your wallet and the environment, we still recommend the "natural dry" method.
• We adhere to Oekotex standards, meaning we don't use any chemicals or dyes that are harmful to the environment or people in our manufacturing processes.
• The "FairTrade" issue..... Everyone has different standards when it comes to FairTrade...... Chatterpants 100% endorses Fairtrade principles but we aren't officially certified as "Fairtrade" yet. But we can say that we've been to the factories we use and we can assure you that (to the best of our knowledge & research) the workers have good working conditions,  no-one is under or over the local government's recommended working age and everyone's paid a decent living wage. 
• The "Organic" issue.....definitely a curly one! Chatterpants usually has some organic fabrics in our range but we are not obsessed with everything being organic. We absolutely believe that as manufacturers, we are responsible for making choices that are good or at least not harmful to  the environment. That principle guides all our decisions. However, reducing purchasing of synthetic fabrics such as polyester would also have a major, positive impact on our environment. At Chatterpants, we are a polyester free zone. We are committed to promoting the benefits of natural fabrics, be they organic or non-organic, over synthetics. We're "light greenies"!
